About Us

Founded in 2020, Canadian Christians for Justice and Mercy (CCJM) is a movement of people working across the country to act justly and love mercy alongside our neighbours.

We serve as a solutions center for the Christian Church to advocate for Canadians facing inequality and racism, especially Black and Indigenous communities.

CCJM recognizes that the inequality between groups of Canadians is maintained by a series of structural and cultural issues related to:

  • Poverty

  • Child Welfare

  • Education

  • Unemployment

  • Access to Capital

  • Crime and Incarceration

Since crime and incarceration significantly impact Black and Indigenous communities on a disproportionate scale in Canada, CCJM focuses on issues related to crime and incarceration. We believe Christian Churches have a unique responsibility to support the most vulnerable people. Our aim is to support ongoing Christian initiatives in this area and also grow the number of Churches and Ministries participating in such initiatives.
